When the first xXx: The Return of Xander Cage trailer landed, we had to look for Deepika Padukone. This special India trailer which launched on Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 10 belongs to Deepika and her quest for world domination.
Deepika Padukone has a winner in hand with xXx: The Return of Xander Cage and you can quote us on that. The film which stars Vin Diesel as the eponymous Xander Cage and is the Hollywood launch of our very own Deepika will release in January. Till then, there is Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 10.
Deepika was part of the premiere of Bigg Boss 10 on Sunday night which was made even more special with the launch of a special Indian trailer of xXx. When the first trailer of xXx: The Return of Xander Cage came, we were a tad disappointed because there was too little Deepika in it. No such grouse this time. This trailer belongs to Deepika and Deepika alone.
She kicks ass, does some breathtaking stunts, points knives and firearms at Vin Diesel himself but you know what is even more dangerous when she trades one-liners with him. It is all there in the trailer and we can make out that Deepika is part of Vin’s team which has been brought together to save the world.
Deepika’s Serena Unger, however, is something of a lone ranger. A girl who looks as deadly as the punches she can throw, Deepika is a vision in black in the trailer. Watch out for the surf scene as well as the flip she does over a car.

As Salman kept on saying in Bigg Boss 10, Deepika is Bollywood and Hollywood’s action star now and we can’t agree more. The trailer was launched in Hindi on the reality show and Salman quipped, “This is not Deepika’s Hollywood debut, this looks like Vin Diesel’s Hindi debut.”
Salman welcomed the actor, who was dressed in a black and gold short dress paired with thigh-high boots, to the show as a contestant. Deepika also went inside the house, located in Lonavala, Maharashtra. She even performed on the theme song of her debut Hollywood film.
While this trailer has been tailor-made for the Indian audience, we liked what we saw. And you know what we really liked? The fact that Deepika is carrying her Indian accent without any artifice. More power to you girl.
