US President Donald Trump observes silence for 9/11 victims – Trump was joined by the First Lady Melania Trump to mark the 16th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.

US President Donald Trump observed the 16th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.
Trump, joined by the First Lady Melania Trump walked onto the South Lawn and stood as bells towed. They bowed their heads and observed silence as they placed hands on their hearts for the first 9/11 anniversary of Trump’s presidency.
US Defence Secretary James Mattis and General Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, at the Department of Defense were also present at the ceremony for 9/11 victims.
Around 3,000 were when terrorists led by Osama Bin Laden crashed planes in to New York’s World Trade Centre, the Pentagon and a rural Pennsylvania field in 2001.
