Beautiful Actress Kangana Ranaut shares her personal story in sportswear brand, Reebok’s latest campaign, ‘Fit To Fight’. Seen lifting weights like a seasoned athlete, Ranaut’s the new brand ambassador of the Adidas AG-owned Reebok, which went through a rough phase in 2012-13 when the company was embroiled in INR 870 crore financial fraud.
The new campaign, specifically targeted at women, shows a dead serious Ranaut going about her fitness routine, which includes everything from yoga and dancing to cross-fit and kick-boxing. Meanwhile a voice-over asks her questions about the struggles and challenges she faced on the road to the top. Questions like “what did you feel when your father didn’t support your dreams?” To which Ranaut says, “Focused”. “After your first movie you didn’t get any new offers. How did you deal with that?” Ranaut’s reply, “I raised my game”. See what the copywriters did there? “How did you respond to media criticism regarding your ability in English?” She says, “I let that pass”. “Two national awards. Where do you go from here?” Ranaut’s final answer, “I’ll keep sweating.”
On working with the brand for this campaign, Ranaut said, “I have always been a Reebok fan. Their products and campaigns have always inspired me. When they came to me, it was a natural fit and I was extremely excited to be associated with them. I feel that anything in life can be accomplished if we believe ourselves. Today’s women should stay fit in all aspects, be it physically, socially or mentally. This ideology echoes with Reebok’s overall positioning and I am delighted to be the face of the brand, helping them push this message further. I look forward to encouraging millions of other women to take a plunge with me and not just become fitter, but stronger and better versions of themselves. I hope this campaign will be able to inspire not just women but also men.”
