Friendship Day – The world celebrated International Friendship Day with ardour on August 5, and so did India’s cricket captain Virat Kohli, who took to Instagram to wish his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma a ‘Happy’ friendship day.ee pics: This is how Virat Kohli wished wife Anushka Sharma on
Virat shared a an image of himself with Anushka, where the doting wife can be seen clicking a selfie and smiling ear to ear. Virat too is his happiest, probbaly it is the Anushka effect.
The Indian skipper shared the image and captioned it, “Happy friendships day.”
Virat shared the same image on his Twitter handle as well.
The lovely couple- Anushka and Virat, are currently in England where India is playing the five-match Test series.
Virat Kohli scored a century in the first Test at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, and Anushka Sharma was the first one with whom he shared his happiness.
As soon as the ball hit the boundary and the scoreboard showed a 100* along with his name, an overwhelmed Virat raised his bat towards the pavilion and kissed the wedding ring which hangs around his neck, dedicating the achievement to Anushka, who was watching from the stands.
The captain then scored 51 in the second dig but his efforts could not ensure a win for his side as the rest of the batting did not stand up to offer any assistance.
On Sunday, courtesy his amazing effort, Virat jumped up one place and surpassed Australia’s Steve Smith to become the number one Test batsman in the world with 934 points.
He has become only the seventh Indian and first since Sachin Tendulkar in June 2011, to take the pole position.
On the other hand, Anushka will next be seen in Sui Dhaaga, opposite Varun Dhawan. Directed and written by Sharat Katariya, Sui Dhaaga is going to hit the theatres on September 28th. Apart from this, the gorgeous actress will also be seen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
