If reports are to be believed, Sara has bagged a role opposite none other than Bollywood's Greek God for her Bollywood debut. Directed by Karan Malhotra, the film is said to be a comedy-drama, and will be produced by Karan Johar.
After gifting Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan to Bollywood, Karan is set to give Sara her big Bollywood ticket. Despite the non-stop rumours of the star kid collaborating with KJo, there has been no official announcement made by the filmmaker-turned-producer.
But that hasn't deterred the gossip mills from churning new stories every single day. It all began a few months ago when the news of Sara making her big debut with KJo's Student Of The Year 2 went viral. When the fans were busy chewing on this new piece of gossip, the reports of Sara bagging a film opposite Shahid Kapoor's younger brother Ishaan Khattar took over the tabloids. Buzz was that Sara and Ishaan were roped in for a screen adaptation of Fault In Our Stars which was set to roll out in 2017, but soon the news of Sara opting out of the film, courtesy her mom, stunned everyone. Reports suggested that Amrita didn't want Sara to be be lost in the stream of star kids launched by KJo, and asked Sara to opt out of the film.
And that is when Zoya Akhtar entered the picture. Sara's big Bollywood ticket was now speculated to be in Zoya's hands. The 21-year-old was now rumoured to work with Ranveer Singh in Gully Boy. But Amrita rubbished the rumours saying, "This is just not true."
And now this new film opposite Hrithik is the latest addition to the entire circus around her big Bollywood debut. With no official confirmation, only time will tell which film turns out to be Sara's big Bollywood debut. And if she is able to live up to the expectations of the audience.
