Motorola is holding a press event at Mobile World Congress this month, where it is of course, expected to unveil a new smartphone. Maybe two. However, leaks regarding the rumoured Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are all over the internet. With an early listing of specifications and a parade of leaked press renders, we round up on everything we know about the upcoming smartphones.
According to the rumour mill, Moto G5 is expected to feature a 5-inch FHD display. It will be powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It will include an internal storage of 32GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. There is no information if the company will offer two variants though. Running the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, it will come equipped with a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front facing camera. Lastly, it will be backed by a 2800mAh battery.
On the other hand, the larger Moto G5 Plus will most likely feature a 5.2-inch FHD display. It will be powered by a 2.0GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, which will be paired with 2GB of RAM. . It will include an internal storage of 64GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. Running Android 7.0 Nougat, the device will pack in a 12MP rear dual autofocus camera along with a 5MP front facing camera. The smartphone is rumoured to be backed by a 3000mAh battery along with TurboPower charging technology.
