Kahaani 2 box office collection day 2: Vidya Balan film collected Rs 5.79 cr on second day.
Sujoy Ghosh’s thriller drama Kahaani 2 has collected Rs. 10.04 cr in two days. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared, “#Kahaani2 saw 36.24% growth on Day 2… Sun should add to a respectable total… Fri 4.25 cr, Sat 5.79 cr. Total: ₹ 10.04 cr [1235 screens].”
Starring Vidya Balan and Arjun Rampal in lead roles, the film collected Rs 4.25 crore on Friday. It had a limited release over 1235 screens in the domestic market. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and shared, ” #Kahaani2 Fri ₹ 4.25 cr [1235 screens]. India biz… Picked up in evening/night shows.” The film is expected to perform average on the weekdays.
Meanwhile, Dear Zindagi starring Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt collected Rs 2.25 cr on the eighth day, inching towards collecting Rs 50 crores. The film is expected to collect Rs 50 cr in a day or two. Taran shared, “#DearZindagi [Week 2] Fri 2.25 cr. Total: ₹ 49.25 cr. India biz… Will cross ₹ 50 cr mark today [Sat].”
People are appreciating the performance of Vidya Balan and Arjun Rampal in Kahaani 2. However, many are finding the second part predictable.

“Box office numbers are very important. It’s heartbreaking when a film doesn’t do well. I don’t really understand the business of cinema but all I want is more and more people to watch Kahaani 2. You put so much into it and that is what you ultimately want,” said Vidya Balan in an interview with indianexpress.com.
“When you want something, the universe conspires to get you that. Perhaps this kind of films veers towards me. I too get drawn to issues that are specific to women. And by doing then, I am also trying to realise my worth and value with every passing day,” she added. Kahaani 2 brings Vidya Balan and Sujoy Ghosh after their successful collaboration in its prequel Kahaani.
