That Virat Kohli was pumped up on Sunday would be an understatement. But he made sure the crowd was pumped up as well. Time and again, throughout the day, the Indian captain was egging on the spectators to raise their decibel levels. The Bengaluru crowd responded to their Royal Challengers Bangalore captain, upping their volumes at every Kohli signal.
The Indian skipper's tactic of getting the crowd involved in the game played its part in a wicket as well. In the last over before tea by Ishant Sharma, Kohli was making gestures to the crowd before each ball. Fans clapped harder every time Sharma ran in, and the pacer got Mitchell Marsh off the last ball of that over. The crowd went berserk, Kohli jumped in elation. "It was really loud out there when he was doing that," Matt Renshaw said about Kohli pumping the crowd up.
