Steve Waugh called it as the final frontier but could never breach it. Can Steve Smith do what the legendary Waugh and his other illustrious predecessors couldn’t? Highly unlikely!
Make no mistake; this Australian side are no pushovers. They have an astrologically strong team, especially the batsmen. Expect the spinners and pacer Jackson Bird to make good impression too. They did one huge mistake though – choice of the captain. Astrologically, Steven Smith is never going to be a great captain. It would probably have been a different equation if David Warner was leading this side.
With Virat Kohli at the helm, expect Indian batsmen to do a fantastic job and the spinners to do the demolition work. Interestingly, Indian coach Anil Kumble and his Australian counterpart Darren Lehmann are born in the same year and share similar planetary positions. While Lehmann has achieved all that he was destined as a coach, Kumble still has more to come, which only adds to India’s chances. The question is not about will India win the series – they will. It is about by what margin. India cannot stream-roll Australia as they did to England. So the scoreline would be better for Australia but still in favour of India.
