I owe everything to Telugu cinema: Flora Saini – The actress got a lot of appreciation for her portrayal as a ghost in her latest release Stree.
The song Lux Papa from the Telugu film Narasimha Naidu, picturised on actress Flora Saini and Balakrishna, was quite a rage. And even though it’s been ages since the film hit the screens, Flora gushes that people still remember her by that song. “It’s amazing how a song can create such a lasting impact, but people still remember me for that,” she beams.
The actress got a lot of appreciation for her portrayal as a ghost in her latest release Stree, but says that she owes everything to her stint in Telugu cinema. “I never expected such an overwhelming response. People are loving my role and sending me appreciative messages. I really feel thankful,” says Flora, who is in talks for a couple of projects in Telugu.
Describing her two decade journey as ‘fantastic’, Flora says, “Telugu cinema is my first love and I am hoping to do more Telugu films. I have learnt the nuances of the art from Telugu cinema. I’ve done glamorous, female-centric roles as well as horror films. So this is an exciting phase as an actor.” She adds, “Even after coming to Mumbai, I continued to work with filmmakers like Raj and D.K. and Nagesh Kukunoor who are from the South. So whatever I am today, it’s all because of Telugu cinema.”
