Beautiful Actress Alia Bhatt continues to collect successes, with Kapoor & Sons being the latest feather in her cap. But the actress modestly refuses to think of herself as special. “I think I have opportunities but I don’t think I am the only one that has opportunities. I feel everybody has them,” she says.
“It’s all driven by characters in films and directors. If I fit into a character then it works well for me.”
Alia has already moved in to her next batch of films. She has been signed for Gauri Shinde’s as-yet-untitled film with superstar SRK and she happily clarifies “Shah Rukh’s role is not an extended cameo.”
Another biggie is Ayan Muherjee’s new film which sees Ranbir Kapoor playing a superhero. Ask Alia if she will be doing action sequences in the film, and she says, “I am not sure about the action part but I can definitely say that it not going to be one of the run-of-the-mill superhero films. Ayan has a magnificently genius brain; he has a world of his own. I just can’t wait to start working on this film because it’s going to be the first of its kind. We will start shooting towards the end of this year.”
There were rumors that Alia is doing a film with Akshay Kumar, and David Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 opposite Varun Dhawan but she denies this. Homi Adjania of Cocktail has is also starting his new film with Sushant and Irfan but Alia says she has not been approached for the film. “I can’t be offered every film,” she protests.
But if Alia is offered an international film, what kind of film would she like to do? The actress reveals: “I would like to do character-driven, dramatic, romantic, sweet, maybe intense films like Silver Lining Playbook, Brooklyn or Blue Jasmine.”
